Flight deals from London airports
London has several airports with very different journeys to the terminal. Match a flight deal to the actual departure airport, then add the cost and practicality of getting there. A lower airfare need not mean a cheaper door-to-door trip.

Know which London airport is on the ticket
Heathrow (LHR), Gatwick (LGW), Stansted (STN), Luton (LTN), London City (LCY) and Southend (SEN) are separate airports. Search results labelled London can include more than one of them. Check the airport and terminal in both directions, especially if the return itinerary differs.
An offer described only as London, or listing two possible airports without identifying the itinerary, is not precise enough to plan your journey. Before booking, confirm which airport the quoted fare actually uses rather than assuming Heathrow.
Compare the journey to the terminal
Heathrow offers rail and Underground connections. Gatwick’s railway station is at the South Terminal; passengers using the North Terminal need the inter-terminal connection. At Luton, the DART connects Luton Airport Parkway with the terminal, so a train journey to Parkway is not the final leg.
London City has a DLR station and Southend has an airport railway station. For Stansted, compare the airport’s train, coach and road options for your starting point. Check current ticket conditions and timetables rather than assuming each connection runs throughout the night.
When a different airport is worth considering
Compare alternatives using the same travel dates, baggage and passengers. Add rail or coach tickets, parking, any overnight stay and the time you would spend travelling across London. A nearby airport may be better value even if the flight itself costs a little more.
If outbound and inbound flights use different airports, account for returning to your car or collecting luggage. Avoid treating a change of London airports as an ordinary airside connection. For a short break, convenient timings may preserve more usable holiday time than the lowest fare.
Good questions, straight answers
Does a London fare always depart from Heathrow?
No. London search results may cover multiple airports. Check the IATA code and terminal on the actual itinerary; our airport associations do not guarantee a route or fare.
Should I search every London airport?
Consider the airports you can reasonably reach. Compare the whole journey, including early or late transport and any different return airport, before choosing the cheapest airfare.
